Did the Pandemic Teach SCOTUS Anything?
Good people, help me out. What part of breathing clean air doesn’t the Supreme Court understand? I don’t know what part of the planet the Justices were living in when ‘Rona shut everything down. But it was immediately apparent to most people on earth, who are not considered physically blind, and the animals that walk the planet that there are a few things HUMANS can do to minimize carbon emissions. Reducing our dependence on coal is one of them.
I maybe over simplistic, but giving clean air policies a shot in the arm is ONE good reason for conservative jurists to rule in favor of our collective well being. That’ll never happen with this bunch. DaiTechCorp presses on because our dependency on coal will flip. At one time, the United State depended on whales to keep oil in our stoves and lamps. Americans are smart. And I believe many innovative souls will continue to develop more marketable solutions that will compel us to significantly reduce coal production. Solar, natural gas, and wind are already out there. What else should we be looking into?
AND I also believe collective should also look at inventive ways attract net-zero and environmentally sustainable industries to West Virginia. We can help the “Almost Heaven” state eventually release its desperate grip on coal!
How does SCOTUS’s West Virginia v. EPA decision sit with you?
