Electric Vehicles: Nothing Like Your First Car

I’m a woman of a certain age - a “Baby, Baby Boomer” - and I have no regrets…except one: envy is taking ahold of me. As I watch my son grow up with “gen Z” experiences, I can’t stop my mumbling about the privileges he has at 17 that I hadn’t earned until the age of 30.

My boy is learning to drive. So, when my husband and I trade in our chauffeur caps for his first self-financed car, it will undoubtedly be a hybrid or an electric vehicle. And because EVs are still relatively novel on the East coast, he’ll score cool points I never earned with any car in during my pre-thirties.

You see, my first car will never go down in history with the automotive enthusiasts. The paint color wasn’t even right…but I digress. Regardless of the manufacturer of my son’s first car, his whip will reflect the buying habits of the digital age, an era of disruption for all industries, including the global automotive markets.

He’s at the beginning of a wave generated by young Americans who, perhaps, will never own a gas-powered vehicle. And why should they? They were born in a time of cordless phones and broadband, after all. The decision-makers know this and are leveraging the desired automotive technologies to win the Z’ers attention and loyalty before they purchase their first EV.

I predict that the most successful EVCS programs will extend past fueling cars and sweetening deals with incentives from the sponsoring brand for the potential customer, employee, tenant, or constituent. Brands will prioritize my son and his peers as customers in a way that big oil never did for you, or me.

The electric vehicle industry finds success by knowing your customer base. That’s why Dai Technologies Corporation’s first concern is getting to know your business and target customer base. We know that our customer’s and their end-users typically fall into one of four categories:

  • Firms who are recruiting highly sought after, top-tier professionals who are serious about creating sustainable lifestyles and healthy work environments;

  • Sustainability managers and procurement professionals helping their organizations comply with “green legislation” requiring more public and accessible EV charging options

  • Fleet managers seeking EVCS programs that will fully integrate with their existing asset management software; or

  • Property owners whose commercial tenants are demanding EV chargers to drive foot traffic to their doors.

By either categorizing your customers into these groups or finding their special niche, DaiTechCorp can develop tailor-made electric charging solutions that energize your business as well as your customers’ EVs.

However, we do more than just install EV chargers. Schedule a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your EVCS program requirements, and how we can simultaneously fulfill your business objectives and sustainability plan to get your desired results.
