CEO Chronicles: Part 2 - NEVI is just a start

🚗🔋 What DaiTechCEO has learned about EV Adoption since joining the EV Lifestyle is a blog series about my 6 – month experience as an Electric Vehicle owner.

Part II: NEVI is akin to seed planting, it will not be enough 🔋🚗

These are the second part of my notes from an adventurous EV driving lesson from Washington, DC to New York City a few months ago!

1. Plan or Perish: I’ll say it again, for EV drivers, meticulous planning is essential and joining multiple charging networks is NOT an option. Use reliable apps like the Department of Energy’s or Plugshare’s site to locate working charging stations along your route and have a backup plan in case your first choice is unavailable.

2. We need more local EV adoption investments: Period. As a traveler who has off-ramped major interstates for excursions in metropolitan cities, I learned that shopping mall parking lots offer the most accessibility. But I don’t want to walk through the perfume section of a department store to get to the closest coffee shop. Most times you want a well-lit and safe place to charge your car. Our cities and urbanized suburbs should not expect NEVI to fulfill the demand for local EV driving. We need more state, local, and private investments in public EV charging.🔋🚗

Driving an electric vehicle IS a transportation and lifestyle shift. For some it’s transformative. At DaiTechCorp, we’re committed to supporting you through every mile of your EV journey.
