Ford’s Splashy Investment : A New Player in the EV Industry

Ford has recently announced its plan to invest 29 billion dollars towards going electric and self-driving cars! Ford’s announcement comes on the heels of General Motors and other competing automakers’ attempts to heavily invest into electric and autonomous vehicles in hopes to compete with EV powerhouse Tesla.

Ultimately, with future plans to produce their own electric vehicles and bolster their hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains capabilities, starting with the highly anticipated electric F-150 in 2022, this major announcement shows that Ford is now publicly putting their money where their mouth is.
