Kudos to the Oasis Charger Corporation! They are the first EV charging equipment (EVCE) maker to manufacturer AND assemble their products 100% in the USA. Their flagship brand is JuiceBar.
The electrification of automobiles will revive some areas of homegrown manufacturing that have been declining for years. That is just one of the hundreds reasons why I’m excited about founding Dai Technologies Corporation and being a part of THIS new era of automotive history.
JuiceBar’s press release intrigued me. I dug a little deeper and learned that the “Buy America provisions” of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Section 1605) have been around since 2009 (Click here for details). Combined with Biden’s infrastructure plan that’s now making its way through Congress, Electric Vehicle and EVCE original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) can leverage the Buy American incentives to gain more ground for EV adoption in the States.
There’s more! @DaiTechCEO’s intel confirms that tax credits for new EV’s may possibly go from $7,500 to $12,500 if the manufacturers tweak where their cars are made and who makes them. A policy like that will definitely facilitate HUGE wins for the Home Team and encourage significant improvements in the current US supply chain dilemma. At the end of the day, JuiceBar is prepared for the shift in consumer sentiment about the EVCE market leaders. Eventually, Customer’s waiting on their charging units (that are on back order), will throw up their hands up and determine imported parts and labor at a less expensive price is not that important to them. What they do need in real time is a discontinuation of energizing their cars from a 120V outlet for 12 to 12 hours. Their time is more valuable than the few dollars in EVCE pricing deltas.
JuiceBar is betting new Customers will eventually take control of the situation. Go with a less popular brand. And transition to their #EVLifestyle TODAY; not a few weeks or months from now! I promise, this is no shade to the Top 10 and Top Tier makers, we’re just reporting!
